The Youth Empowerment Through Innovation program is designed to inspire and equip young people in Azerbaijan with the skills needed to innovate and create. It fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and global readiness through a structured, hands-on learning experience.

Participants work in teams to explore real-world problems, build solutions, and communicate their ideas effectively. Through a structured seven-week program, they gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, including mentors from AIM Projects, and prepare for international opportunities. The initiative is designed to ensure broad participation, with a strong emphasis on including young people from regions across Azerbaijan.
At the same time, it fosters an innovation mindset by supporting idea development and connecting participants with global ecosystems such as Silicon Valley and Silicon Slopes. Selected finalists will have the opportunity to take part in a two-week fellowship in Silicon Valley, where they will refine their ideas, receive mentorship, and engage with a dynamic innovation community.

Who Can Apply
We are looking for motivated young individuals who are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
Eligibility criteria:
Aged 18–30
Citizens or legal residents of Azerbaijan
Applying in teams of exactly two members
Students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals from any field
A working level of English
No prior startup experience or technical background is required.
Program Structure
Stage I. Application & Selection
Teams submit their ideas, motivation, and background.
A total of 25 teams are selected to participate in the program.
Stage II. Seven-Week Innovation Program
Participants take part in a 7-week structured program with weekly sessions delivered in a hybrid format. The program combines online seminars with selected in-person sessions in Baku.
Throughout this stage, teams work on developing their ideas, complete weekly assignments, and receive ongoing mentorship from experienced professionals. The program is designed to support continuous learning, practical application, and steady progress toward a final pitch.
Stage III. Pitch & Final Selection
All teams present their ideas in English to a jury of experts. The evaluation is based on a cumulative assessment of performance throughout the program, including participation, weekly assignments, and the final pitch.
Based on these results, the top-performing teams are invited to the interview stage. Following interviews, three teams are selected as winners and will receive the opportunity for international exposure.
Stage IV. Innovation Trip of Finalist Teams to USA
Selected teams will participate in a two-week innovation experience in the United States, visiting Silicon Valley and Silicon Slopes.
During this stage, participants will refine their ideas, receive mentorship, and immerse themselves in leading startup ecosystems, gaining first-hand exposure to global innovation practices.
